Introduction
The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China (the Government of the HKSAR) attaches great importance to youth development. Our vision is to nurture a new generation of young people with an affection for our country and Hong Kong, and equip them with global perspective, an aspiring mind-set and positive thinking.
To promote international youth exchange, the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau (HYAB) of the Government of the HKSAR successfully organised two editions of the Youth Development Summit in 2024 and 2025 respectively. The latest edition of the Summit attracted over 3000 young people to register to participate, including about 600 of them from the Chinese Mainland and overseas countries.
Following the success last year, the HYAB will host the third edition of the Youth Development Summit on 7 November 2026, inviting key officials responsible for promoting youth development from different regions, along with business leaders and representatives of youth organisations as guest speakers. They will share their valuable experiences and insights on various sectors, including technological innovation, cultural and creative industries, and diversified development of youth so as to inspire the youth participants in seizing opportunities.
