House Rules
Participants attending the Youth Development Summit (the Summit) must comply with the following House Rules stipulated by the Organiser:
- Only participants with confirmed registrations shall be admitted to the Summit. Participants must present their admission badge for entry. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to any person who fails to comply with the above arrangements.
- All admission badges are non-transferrable. A valid admission badge must be clearly displayed when entering the venue, and participants must wear their admission badge so that it remains visible at all times.
- Participants must be dressed in appropriate attire. Those wearing improper attire will not be admitted.
- Any person may be refused entry if their clothing or accessories carry the following messages (including text and graphics):
• political, racial, religious or offensive messages.
• flags, designs or messages that may be used for protest or demonstration. - Luggage, oversized bags, backpacks, umbrellas, etc., must be stored in the cloak room until the owner leaves the venue. The Organiser reserves the right to request any items to be kept at the cloak room. Items not retrieved within one hour after the end of the Summit will be sent to the Lost & Found Unit of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
- Posters, placards, flags, banners, buntings, flyers or publicity materials of any kinds shall not be brought into, used or displayed within the venue without prior permission from the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to any uncooperative participant/person or to remove such person from the venue.
- Outside food or beverages shall not be brought into or consumed within the venue without prior permission from the Organiser.
- To ensure public safety and order at the venue, participants shall not bring any plastic, glass, metal bottles or containers, or any other dangerous items into the venue. The Organiser and venue security staff reserve the right to inspect the personal belongings of participants upon entry.
- The Organiser and security staff at the venue reserve the right to invite any person present at or entering the venue to undergo security checking and to present personal belongings and bags for inspection. Participants who refuse to undergo security checking without valid reason may be denied entry and be removed from the venue.
- Use of loud hailer/amplifier, chanting of slogans, shouting, distribution or display of materials, or any behaviour that may disrupt the Summit or disturb other participants is strictly prohibited. Offenders may be removed from the venue immediately.
- Persons entering or inside the venue must not intentionally obstruct any entrance, exit, staircase, passage, district passageway, emergency exit or emergency passageway of the venue.
- Any form of interference with the smooth running of the Summit is strictly prohibited. Offenders may be removed from the venue immediately.
- The Organiser and security staff at the venue may intercept or interdict any person who constitute a threat to the safety and order of the Summit, including individuals who are apparently under the influence of alcohol or drugs and who are in possession of dangerous items or substances. Such persons may be denied from entry or be removed from the venue.
- Video shooting and sound recording during the Summit are not permitted without prior permission from the Organiser.
- Participants shall follow the instructions of the Organiser’s staff at all times during the Summit. The Organiser reserve the right to deny entry to the venue or remove any person who fails to comply with the above rules and regulations. Such persons will not be allowed to re-enter the venue during the Summit.
- The Organiser reserves the right to use photos, images and videos taken during the Summit for publicity purpose, including uploading them to its website, social media platforms, publications, or for production of short videos. The Organiser also reserves the right to share photos, images or videos of the Summit with other relevant organisations for promotional use, if necessary.
- Interpretation of these House Rules and any terms or expressions contained herein is the sole prerogative of the Organiser. The Organiser and security staff reserve the right of final decision on the House Rules and any related matters.
